Headquartered in Newark, NY, Refractron's facility is over 80,000 square feet housing state of the art manufacturing, inspection, research & development areas. The most innovative ceramic, materials, process and mechanical engineers will work to design components to meet your ceramic requirements. We design and manufacture both controlled porosity and densely structured ceramics designed to meet some of the most demanding requirements for durability; chemical, corrosion and wear resistance; toughness; and density.
For applications, such as filtration and sparging in chemical processing, water treatment and mining, that require tightly controlled pore size and porosity, we manufacture membranes and monolithic tubes, discs, plates and other components from aluminum oxide and silicon carbide.
We also manufacture such specialty products as absorbent filter/drier cores for refrigeration applications, dispersion parts, vacuum chucks, inkpads and gas probes.
Using our proprietary zirconia, alumina or custom blended ceramic alloy powders, our team of engineers create some of the strongest components on earth to meet your dense, structural requirements.
Ceramic alloy components are used in the chemical and petrochemical industry, as well as components for healthcare and dental applications.
